The Sd.Kfz.250 is a German light armored personnel carrier developed during World War II to enhance the equipment of motorcycle battalions based on the one-ton half-track. Production began in 1941, but the early production type armored body, called the A type (or Alt: Old Type) had a complicated design and poor productivity, so from 1943 mass production of the B type (or Neu: new model), which had a simplified armor plate configuration, began. The Sd.Kfz.250/1 is a basic type that can transport four troops, and was deployed to the armored reconnaissance battalion of the armored division, as well as the armored grenadier version.

The engine and interior of this model kit from Das Werk are fully detailed; the rear door can be opened or closed. Tracks are connected and asembled; armaments are included, as are photo-etched parts and decals for four versions.
