This Flexi-Van 40′ Exterior-Post Semi Trailer from Trainworx is based on the 1960s-built trailers that featured removable bogies for use on Flexi-Van intermodal flatcars. They could be seen on piggyback trains as well as in passenger consists on lines looking to boost revenue of their passenger trains. The trailers outlived the flatcars with many lasting into the 1980s.
